Weber Gallagher is seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal with a background in nursing or medical care to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist in medical-related cases, utilizing their knowledge of nursing home practices and medical documentation to support legal proceedings. This position offers a unique opportunity for a Paralegal with a nursing or medical background to contribute their expertise to legal cases involving healthcare matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and summarize medical records prepare medical summaries.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents related to medical cases.
  • Conduct research on medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and healthcare practices.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and experts to gather information for legal cases.
  • Utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical procedures to support legal arguments.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling sensitive medical information.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of nursing home operations and medical documentation.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and HIPAA regulations.
  • Experience in patient care or critical care settings is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to interpret medical records accurately.
  • Previous experience as a Paralegal in a hospital or healthcare setting is advantageous.
